Bethesda, Maryland
BPC is an historical building and congregation. BPC's
history stretches back to the early 1700's and the current sanctuary holds
some of the most beautiful
stained glass windows in the area. Since it's founding in 1723, the
church has survived through revolution, slavery, fire, civil war, segregation,
and schism within the congregation. The current building has been used
since 1926 and features a lovely
sanctuary with great acoustical quality. The building also provides rooms
and stages for rehearsal, master classes, and other activities within the music
festival. BPC has been host of the Bethesda Summer Music festival since
2001. "The area is great! In
my downtime, I visited the White House,
the monuments, and sang in a beautiful, historical building. Overall, the location was an added bonus to my summer!" Brendan Sliger, Festival Participant, 2005. | ||
