Mira Yang earned her D.M.A. at the Catholic University of America and Master's of Music Degree at the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and was a finalist in their competition. She also attended AIMS in Graz, Austria, the Shaker Mountain Festival, Dicapo Opera, and the Minnesota Opera Center with Wesley Balk. Ms. Yang is Artistic Director for the Bethesda Summer Music Festival promoting Opera and Musical Theater repertoire. She is the Students Voice Competition Chair for the Friday Morning Music Club. She teaches JCC school of music in Rockville, Musical Theater Center, Potomac School in McLean, and Adjunct Assistant professor at the George Mason University. She has been an Adjunct Professor at American University and voice faculty at the Catholic University of America. Currently, she is Community Advisory Board for the Kennedy Center, president of the Asian American Music Society Inc., and Arts in Communities Advisory Panel for Maryland State Arts Council.
